Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Stroke Registry ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and web platform. By using Stroke Registry, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Your name and email address when you register as a doctor or therapist.
  • Patient Assessment Data: Clinical assessment data you enter for stroke patients under your care, including demographics, functional scores, and rehabilitation notes.
  • Profile Information: Optional profile photo and professional qualifications.
  • Uploaded Documents: PDF reports and device-generated reports (TYMO, balance tests, etc.) you attach to patient records.
  • Device Media (Backup): If you grant permission, the app backs up photos and videos from your device to the secure clinic server for restoration in case of device loss or damage.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide clinical assessment functionality to authorised medical professionals.
  • To authenticate your account and ensure only authorised access.
  • To allow clinic administrators to review and manage patient records.
  • To restore your device media if your device is lost or damaged.
  • To send app notifications relevant to patient records and assessments.
  • To generate AI-assisted clinical summaries for patients (using data you have already entered).

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on a secure private server. All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt) and are never stored or transmitted in plain text. Access to patient data is restricted to authorised clinic staff only.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party. Patient data is only accessible to authorised doctors and administrators within your clinic. We do not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising networks, or data brokers.

5. Media Access (Device Backup)

The Stroke Registry app requests access to your device's photos and videos solely to provide a secure backup service for clinic delegates. Backed-up media is stored on the clinic's private server and is accessible only to authorised administrators. You may revoke this permission at any time through your device's Settings → Apps → Stroke Registry → Permissions.

6. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account remains active on the platform. Patient assessment records are retained as required for clinical and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your personal account data by contacting your clinic administrator.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
  • Withdraw consent for media access at any time via your device settings.
  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing.

8. Children's Privacy

Stroke Registry is intended exclusively for use by registered medical professionals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect or process data from individuals under 18 years of age.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes through an in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
